On August 27, BOE announced that its operating revenue for the first half of 2025 reached 101.278 billion yuan, an 8.45% year-on-year increase; its net profit reached 3.247 billion yuan, a 42.15% year-on-year increase.
In the first half of 2025, BOE continued to consolidate its leading position in the semiconductor display field, continuously optimizing its product mix in the LCD field and achieving steady breakthroughs in its premium high-end flagship products. Shipments of flexible OLED products further increased, and several brand-first products were launched.
The company has consistently adhered to innovative development, achieving significant results in various market segments. Its smart terminal business accelerated its overseas expansion, with the independently invested and constructed Phase II smart terminal project in Vietnam entering mass production ahead of schedule. This further accelerated its global IoT innovation ecosystem, with continued breakthroughs in IoT terminal markets overseas. Its MLED direct display business continued to expand its market, with the completion of multiple Super α cinema benchmark projects with Shanghai Film Group. The overall competitiveness of its backlight business further improved, with the acquisition of multiple leading brand customers.
In the sensing business, construction of a glass-based advanced packaging substrate test line is accelerating; Suzhou Sensing has achieved mass production and wafer production for multiple product models; Smart Window expands its automotive applications and has received market acclaim; FPXD, a key project of the Ministry of Science and Technology, "Development of High-Mobility IGZTO Detectors," has completed product launches. Digital hospitals continue to enhance their core capabilities, achieving steady growth in both outpatient visits and discharges, significantly improving operational quality; Hefei Hospital has innovatively developed specialized services and been elected a "Standing Director Unit of the Anhui Tumor Ultrasound Alliance"; Smart Healthcare has won the "New Quality Productivity Model Case Award" and has been shortlisted for the "Golden BRICS Award" for global construction and design, further enhancing its industry influence.
In its "N" business, BOE Varitronix has steadily expanded into overseas markets, and its systems and innovation businesses continue to expand. BOE Energy published or participated in the compilation of two national standards in the first half of the year and received certifications from three national authorities. Zhongxiangying completed the delivery of the information technology construction project for its 12-inch wafer-level TSV stereo integration production line, significantly enhancing its core competitiveness. Zoomlion Ultra HD is further focusing on its products, with digital display screens widely used in exhibition halls and government and enterprise settings. Breakthroughs have been made in the development of second-site transmission and broadcast control terminals, maintaining a national lead. Smart transportation screens are the industry's first two-in-one broadcast, control, and display architecture.
In terms of technology and products, LCD is accelerating the upgrade of UB Cell, Oxide, and LTPS technologies in the display device sector. BOE's first VR display with the world's highest 2117 PPI won the 2025 SID PCA Award, and the 4K-H UB Cell G.3 received the 2025 ICDT Best Innovative Display Gold Award. Display technology continues to upgrade, with OLEDs continuing to innovate, breaking through the minimum OLED size and securing customer authorization for mass production. Its in-vehicle splicing and sliding display received an Honorable Mention at the CES Innovation Awards 2025. Image quality has been further enhanced, with the Red Magic 10 Pro FDC receiving the SID 2025 DIA Annual Display Industrialization Technology Award. In the MLED field, the MPD P0.6 dual-screen product won the "Best of Show Awards" at InfoComm USA 2025. In the 3D display field, the company released a 16-inch 3D all-in-one educational computer. To adapt to the trend of intelligent products, the company focuses on integrating AI technology with products, comprehensively developing multi-mode product innovation across "devices, complete machines, and systems," driving technological and product innovation. Among them, the glasses-free 3D notebook powered by BOE has been delivered to customers. Its industry-leading glasses-free 3D display solution, which dynamically interweaves AI+display applications, won the DIC AWARD 2025 Display Application Innovation Award. In terms of patents, BOE continues to strengthen its high-quality patent portfolio, filing over 4,000 new patent applications in the first half of the year, of which over 90% were invention patents and over 30% were overseas patents. Over 2,000 applications, representing over 50%, were in the fields of flexible OLEDs, sensors, artificial intelligence, and big data. BOE's technological innovation has been repeatedly recognized, with the company ranking in the IFI's global top 20 for US patent grants for seven consecutive years, in the WIPO's global top 10 for PCT patent applications for nine consecutive years, and in Clarivate Analytics' "Top 100 Global Innovators" for four consecutive years, consistently ranking in the top 12 globally. These achievements further demonstrate BOE's innovative strength and technological leadership.
