China's small and medium-sized OLED shipments will surpass South Korea for the first time this year

Han Changxu, vice president of UBI Research, said at the "Display Strategy Seminar for 2026" held at the Science and Technology Exhibition Center in Gangnam District, Seoul on September 5, "China is expected to surpass South Korea for the first time in the smartphone small-size organic light-emitting diode (OLED) market this year."

UBI Research predicts that China's small-size OLED shipments will surpass South Korea this year, reaching a 52% market share, surpassing South Korea's 48%. In terms of sales, South Korea's market share is expected to decline from 66.1% this year to 53.9% in 2029, while China's market share is expected to rise from 33.9% to 46.1% over the same period.

Han Changxu stated, "Small-size OLED shipments are expected to increase from approximately 1 billion units this year to 1.2 billion units in 2029." He added, "While tablet panels will drive growth in the mid-to-large-size OLED market, TV panels will experience less significant growth."
